If you have ever looked at yourself in the mirror and given yourself a cheeky smile, there is a high chance that you’ve noticed that your teeth are unfortunately not as white as you would like them to be. Why is this, when we brush twice a day, every day, since we could remember but are still unable to shift away the stains, so we just give up (hope not brushing ). We know that we can pay a dentist to whiten them for us but it’s just; too long, too expensive, or you’ve had a bad experience with regards to pain and sensitivity.
This does not have to be the case with new scientific breakthroughs… a Hollywood smile could be just half an hour away thanks to new peroxide-free treatments, so they claim.
Naturally here at The Cixx we were interested and decided to do a bit of digging to see if the claims were true. To our delight, we found that the claims are true and the many peroxide-free treatments available work. What is extra amazing is that you can treat yourself at home, and for a fraction of the cost.
Here are our top teeth whitening treatments available for you to use at home;
1. 3D Teeth Whitening Strip
At the top of our list, we have 3D Teeth Whitening Strips by GALACT, as the name suggests these are strips that are placed over the top of your teeth and left to go to work.
Free of the need to brush, you can go on about your day and leave them on for a specific time. It is important to note that you are still required to brush your teeth.
Why have the 3D Teeth Whitening strips made number one? Well, the price point was the single deciding factor in this choice. Have a look for yourself.

2. Premium Teeth Whitening Strips
If you like getting the best bang for your buck, why not buy premium Teeth Whitening Strips in conjuction with 3D Teeth whitening strips. That way you can compare and contrast the results. The extra cost of using Premium Teeth Whitening Strips might be worthwhile, and judging from the reviews this is probably the case – with 600+ reviews and a solid 4 stars.
Additionally, as the name suggests these come in strip form and will require you to place them on your teeth for a specified period of time.

3. Activated Charcoal Natural Teeth
If you have seen a teeth whitening product being pushed by Pro Teeth Whitening Co, your favourite Instagrammer, chances are the product was Activated Charcoal Natural Teeth.
Normally we would question this method, but as you can see from the 4100 reviews and 4.5 stars, the product does what it says on the tin. What more could you ask for… well maybe a lower price point. At £11.99 this product is not the cheapest on our list.
So how does one use this product? You simply dab the bristle of your brush into the mixture, add water, and brush your teeth with it as you normally would. Once you are done, you continue with your usual regime and brush your teeth using fluoride toothpaste. It is probably best that you use the Activated Charcoal Natural in conjunction with number six in our list for better results, but we will get to that later.

4. Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder
Coming in at number four we have Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder by PROCOAL, a product which we found to be very similar to number three, and at a cheaper price point however, with a lower number of reviews, it will have to settle for fourth place.
1000 reviews and a rating of 4.5 is still superb and in a few months who knows.

5. Chewing gum
Another alternative to whitening strips and paste is chewing gum. Often an overlooked product but if used correctly you will find that chewing gum can be the key to better overall oral health. With many brands now sugar-free the increased risk of cavities is now a thing of the past.
Just pick up a sugar-free whitening one and you are good to go. Chew all day long just not in your meetings.
6. Regular toothpaste
If you are still sceptical about these products claims, or simply do not like the idea of rubbing a more abrasive substance against your teeth, you can always fall back and use whitening toothpaste sold in supermarkets.
Colgate’s Max White Luminous Toothpaste is what we recommend.

“Teeth whitening involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter. Teeth whitening can’t make your teeth brilliant white, but it can lighten the existing colour by several shades.
If done by a professional, they should a regulated dental professional, such as a dental hygienist or dental therapist, on the prescription of a dentist.
Some beauty salons offer teeth whitening, but this is illegal if there’s no dental professional around to oversee the process.”
